SELLER INCORRECT LISTING DESCRIPTION ITEM FOR SALE
Summary: A participant started a discussion about a seller who provided incorrect information about an item for sale. Another participant replied, but the content of both messages is missing, with each contribution simply marked as 'None'.
First problem: although the car chassis number was sent to the seller in order to check compatibility under his responsibility, after receiving confirmation of compatibility, the result was an incompatible item instead, and Ebay washes its hands of it. So much for the "buyer protection program". The second problem: a notebook was purchased for spare parts, that is, refurbishment, and the seller specifies the missing or non-functioning parts. In this case, essential parts are missing, both for the repair and for spare parts, and these were not reported by the seller (if the parts aren’t there, what kind of purchase is it, if the case, for "spare parts"?). In this case too, Ebay doesn't care at all when a good-faith buyer is deceived. If on the Ebay platform there are people selling items that do not match the description, with misleading listings, or profiteers, for Ebay it is not a problem. In fact, there is no way to submit a complaint, only to turn to the seller for a return. 1) I do not want to return anything in order to avoid further inconvenience, beyond what I have already suffered because of Ebay's disorganization; 2) I expect a refund from the seller in relation to the missing items and the value of the missing spare part; 3) when I want to return an item and the seller makes a partial refund offer, if I do not accept it explicitly or do not respond, it means I reject it. So Ebay, before closing the matter by simply shutting it down, must notify and reimburse. Anyway, there is little to be done, you have to file an appeal with the Justice of the Peace, even if it concerns small sums, since appeals are also filed for tiny amounts for fines that are not due. Ebay and the seller are cited (in which case more than one seller) for liability. The "written rules", those abusive Ebay ones, can be used differently on other sites.

Mentore1 year agoThe written rules... which one has to read... have a burdensome value, but toward the seller, not the buyer!
If therefore the buyer does not want to follow them (I quote: "I don't want to return anything to avoid hassles.... the seller makes a partial refund offer, if I don't accept it implicitly or I don't reply) it is not the fault of the rules, but of the one who does not follow them.
The solution to your problems was very simple.
Enjoy the rest.
