Seller unreachable (business closed) - legal warranty
Summary: The discussion concerns a situation in which a seller has become unreachable following the cessation of their business, and the main topic is the legal warranty associated with this scenario. No further specific details are provided by the participants.
I bought a PS5 console in March 2024, and as of today the controller is having problems. When I contact Sony, they tell me that they only cover the first 12 months under warranty, and the rest is covered by the seller (cellularpoint)
Yes, but the seller no longer exists! Neither on eBay nor anywhere else, it seems they have shut down.
So what can I do? The item is clearly still covered by the 24-month warranty, but Sony has washed its hands of it.

Mentore8 months agoThe VAT number is still active, so look for his contact details and... get in touch with him!
Kind regards.

OP7 months agoThanks for the info, in fact the VAT number is active with a certified email address, but this too appears to be disabled; in fact, when sending a certified email, the address turns out to be inactive (and I think that this thing is pretty illegal, I mean having an active VAT number with a fake/inactive certified email address)
