Seller doesn't respond

Good morning. I bought an item, through an auction, from a seller who registered recently and who still has no feedback. I have tried to contact him several times, for several days, and also today, to ask for information about the shipping status, without getting any response. That said, I would like to know whether I should have eBay intervene, since something about this seems a bit off to me. The item is expected to arrive on March 20, but the seller has never given me any sign of life. What should I do?
