Paranoid two-step verification, enough already!

Discussion interactions are currently paused.

I can't stand two-step verification anymore, and following the procedure indicated to disable it doesn't help me because I don't want to go from receiving the SMS to having to receive approval through the app. I just want to enter my userID and password and that's it!! Thanks.
