I win the auction, but the seller refunds me without asking me
Summary: eladin_91 won an auction, but the seller issued a refund without consulting them. marioelegio took part in the discussion, but no further details were provided in the thread.
But does it seem fair to you that after winning an auction, instead of sending me the prize, without even asking me, the seller goes ahead and issues a refund?
I, as the buyer, if I want to cancel an order that hasn’t been shipped yet, and the seller doesn’t accept it, I’m “forced” to buy what I ordered; the same should also apply to the seller, who can’t just do as he pleases. If he committed to sell, then he has to sell, not cancel the order on a whim… Besides, this guy had even asked me if he could ship it late, and I had told him not to worry at all and to ship it whenever he liked, no problem. Well, that was the thanks I got…

OP1 year agoMany thanks for the kind reply. You wrote me something I didn’t know about returns. But how does the yellow card for the seller who has not kept his sales commitment kick in? Does it need to be reported? If so, where? Thanks again…
P..S.
The warnings obviously do not affect his feedback, which depends only on users’ judgment; right? In this case I will give him a low one, of course explaining the reasons…
P.P.S.
Unfortunately, in my case as the buyer I paid right away (as I always do) one second after the auction ended. So even in exchange for a warning of my own I could not have avoided paying for an order that had not yet been sent..

OP1 year agoLet me correct myself, the order I wanted a refund for wasn’t an auction, but a simple sale. Oh well, but the gist of the matter remains the same..

Mentore1 year agoThe same rules apply to both seller and buyer.
If you don't pay, you are only warned. Likewise, the seller who cancels a sale without the buyer's consent is warned.
Both warnings as a first sanction have no effect, but accumulating more of them (for the same reason) leads to increasing difficulty operating on eBay, up to expulsion.
