Make interactions with buyers more effective: replace offers with a welcome voucher
Summary: brakeless_motors suggests replacing purchase proposals with welcome discount vouchers to improve user experience and conversion rates, arguing they're more discreet and appealing to customers. sika700 disagrees, believing that if buyers don't accept proposals, it indicates a lack of genuine interest regardless of discounts.
Good morning,
as a professional seller I’ve noticed that the purchase proposals sent to buyers are often ignored. I believe the reason is simple: many customers perceive them as an attempt to apply pressure, something unnatural in their buying journey.
To improve the user experience and increase the likelihood of conversion, I propose replacing this tool with a welcome discount voucher.
It’s a more elegant solution, less invasive, and more in line with the expectations of modern customers, who appreciate benefits but don’t want to feel pushed.
A discreet, well-presented incentive can create an immediate positive impact, build trust, and encourage purchase without causing annoyance.
What do you think?

·1 month agoGood evening,
in my opinion nothing changes... if a potential buyer visits one of your listings, it’s because they were interested in that item... offering it to them discounted or a voucher to buy it discounted... what changes?
If a buyer doesn’t accept the offer, it’s because they weren’t really interested... or they were looking for something else...
Kind regards.
