DAC7 sale completed in December and transfer of eBay money in January 2023
Guys, I sold an item in December 2022, but eBay paid in January 2023. Should this money be considered for DAC7?

·2 years agoIn normal accounting, the invoicing date counts, not the “delivery” date.
In other words, if you buy some material in November and I invoice it to you in February of the following year, for tax purposes it’s as if I sold it to you in February.

·2 years agoreading article 8 quarter of directive 2021/514, I’d say it’s on a cash basis and not accrual basis:
" K) the Total Consideration paid or credited during each quarter of the Reportable Period and the number of Relevant Activities in relation to which it was paid or credited;"
so it would seem that the money collected in 23 is part of the report regardless of whether the transaction was carried out in 22.

quoted from the web: The DAC7 Directive, which came into force on 31 December 2022, requires digital platforms to report users' income to European tax authorities.....
Regarding your question, in my opinion NO, sales that were made before this directive came into force should not be considered for DAC7.
Kind regards.
