Is my method for calculating eBay's actual profit correct?
Having sold some items, I tried to calculate the actual profit that a non-professional seller makes by selling on Ebay items worth no more than 2000€.
Considering the sale of an item for 30€ with shipping costs of 5,90 for posta 1, you get the following formula:
35,90€ - [5/100*NUMERO.VALORE(n)+0,43/100*NUMERO.VALORE(n)+0,35]+5,90 = 35,90€ - 8,2€ = 27,70€

·1 year agoIf you sell an item as a private seller on eBay for 35,90 (shipping included), you have to pay:
5% of 35,90 euros, which is 1,80 euros (rounded up)
Then you have to pay 0,35 euros for the eBay transaction
Fee for regulatory compliance 0,43% of the total amount (35,90 euros), which is 0,15 euros
Then the shipping, which you calculated to be 5,90 euros
Total 27,70 euros
Your calculation is correct.
Best regards.
