Hi,
this is what happened: I’ve always received payments without any problems, I sold little things I owned and no longer used, then a few days ago I see that eBay’s bank transfer was rejected by my bank, needless to say the bank’s support was practically useless.
So I decide to enter another card’s IBAN and....account suspended and blocked forever! I should point out that I’ve never had any warnings from eBay, never any violation of the rules, everything has always been in order.
Okay, no problem, I’ll say goodbye to eBay without any issues if they treat people like this!
But the problem is that I’m owed payments of almost 500 euros and my account now shows no IBAN to receive payments: at the same time, eBay won’t let me enter an IBAN because it says the account is suspended.
Again, needless to say, eBay support doesn’t know how to give answers other than "if you receive the payment it will happen within 170 days".
That "IF" alarms me and so I ask for an explanation and I’m told that eBay can even not send the payment and keep the money! Again, no explanation, they just read what they were told to answer.
Where I come from, several crimes are being committed, ranging from fraud to theft, embezzlement, etc...
Has anyone had a bad experience like mine and had their money stolen?
Do you think filing a report with the Guardia di Finanza could help at all?
I do not accept this treatment, let alone the theft of what is rightfully mine!
Thank you and have a nice day

·1 year agommmm.. so if I make a mistake at the bank or maybe cancel the mandate, can I get paid every 170 days instead of once a month? mmmmmm

·1 year agoIf you search using the keyword: Montblanc Penna Classique Roller
You’ll find the same price (165 euros) and the same photos with another active account, and several completed sales.
This pen costs more than 400 euros.
If eBay blocks the funds for 170 days, there must be a reason.

OP1 year agoI’ve sorted it out in the sense that I saw there are a ton of problems like mine and that the only thing to do is wait 170 days! I think that’s ridiculous, given that my account is verified with documents, utility bills confirming the address, plus all the ownership references for the items I sold: they were things bought online for me but no longer in use, so I was easily able to provide traceability for where they came from and everything else.
Ebay does whatever it wants, oh well... I’ve learned my lesson, so I’ll wait however long it takes to get my money and I’ll go back to selling unused things elsewhere

·1 year agoNow that you’ve mentioned the 170 days I went to check among your completed sales and there you can find the real reason for your account being blocked.

Registered as a private seller: therefore consumer rights under European regulations do not apply
Selling new items in quantity, professional photos and in the description you write
"Satisfied or your money back, returns are always guaranteed within 60 days of delivery"
For what you sell and how you sell it, you need to have a professional account.
Kind regards

·1 year agoI don't know what you had written anyway replicas, clones, imitations of Montblanc are on the market at bargain prices compared to the originals.
I wouldn't want him to have received some report of this kind because he has made relatively few sales......

At those prices, the doubt is reasonable.

I’d start right from this, because why did the bank reject the eBay transfer?
They’re the ones who should explain it to you, who else if not them?

OP1 year agothe bank talked about a technical error due to site maintenance...
but the bank is one thing, eBay is another! the bank can also have an outage for a thousand reasons, that doesn't mean eBay has to make unfounded judgments
