Cancel PayPal refund case to open eBay refund?
Good morning,
I opened the refund claim with Paypal, not knowing that there was the possibility to request the refund directly from Ebay. My question is this: if I close the refund claim I filed with Paypal, can I request the refund directly from Ebay?
In chat support told me that once the claim is opened with Paypal, you can't go back to Ebay.
Thanks a lot

And if I closed the procedure with PayPal, can the seller still issue the refund automatically through Ebay?

You should have opened a claim directly on eBay; if you didn’t do that and opened a claim on PayPal, eBay is automatically excluded and you have to deal only with PayPal.
If you close PayPal, you are no longer protected by eBay and you can only hope in the seller's good faith.
I recommend that you continue with PayPal and see it through to the final outcome.
Kind regards.

·2 years agoif you close the PayPal dispute, the seller could issue the refund....... but it’s up to him of his own free will if he chooses to do it.... I doubt he will after a dispute has been raised against him on PayPal :
so it follows that it’s better to wait for PayPal’s decision
