What shipping method should I use for postcards

Good evening, alternatively to registered mail, which shipping method should I use that is trackable for sending postcards? Thanks.

I’m updating this discussion because a little while ago I went around the web looking for updated shipping rates and I found paccofacile:

I ran a simulation including various known locations, but I didn’t get below 5.01 euros.

Even trying the ENVELOPE format up to 250 grams.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find the 4.75 euro rate, but up to 1 kg they charge 5.01 euros.

Paccofacile is a service that has always provided cheap shipping rates; over the years I’ve made about a hundred shipments with them and I’ve never had any problems.

They have phone support or ticket support, they reply immediately and are efficient for things like “the courier didn’t show up today” and they arrange for the shipment to be picked up again.

Or things like, the courier picked up the parcel but it doesn’t show as having left yet, then they contact the courier (one of my parcels had ended up under the seat of the SDA van).

I have no idea about damaged or lost parcels because I’ve never dealt with issues of that kind with them.

We’re talking a few cents, 5.01 versus 5.22 from packlink, so judge for yourselves whether it’s worth it or not.

Well, anyway, I just did two tests, a 100g letter, dimensions 24×18×5cm, and it came out to 6.95 euros with destination Turin and Rome, so I think it depends a lot on the location. Also consider the hassle of manually entering the data every time and wasting a lot of time, while on eBay shipping it takes everything automatically and gets prepared and paid for in a minute, and on thousands of parcels shipped the express rates are those. For me BRT at 5.32 still remains the best rate currently; I take the shipments to the local drop-off point every day at 9 and they leave, Posta 1 was the same, you don't have the worry that the courier won't come by to pick up because it has happened to me because of communication errors and the courier didn't find the parcels to collect. Sometimes I also use SDA with drop-off point at 5.68 because in some locations it is faster... I have also tried various quotes for businesses and trust me these prices that eBay offers are unbeatable. No broker like pacco facile, io spedisco etc. has rates this advantageous.... Then I also think that using eBay shipping in terms of seller protection is even better if something happens and support sees that you used their service

If with the "envelope" option you get higher rates, you can leave "package" as the default because padded envelopes under 2 cm won't work with couriers anyway, and at that point if you don't want to make a parcel, it makes sense to use the envelopes provided by the couriers, put the padded envelope inside, and the shipping label in the transparent pouch on the envelope.

If you do a lot of shipments every day, the ready-made form provided by Packlink definitely saves you a lot of time.

Yes, sometimes it happens that booked pickups are not carried out, especially if the labels are created on Saturday or Sunday.

Unfortunately, the shipping protection offered by packlink-ebay shipping is not among the best, there are really too many limitations on prohibited items that are not covered.

Standard mail up to 20 grams 1.30 euro (but there is no tracking or delivery confirmation) so if you run into an otherwise dishonest buyer, you lose money and time.

Registered mail up to 20 grams cost 6 euro

But at this point you can consider shipping by courier through eBay Shipping at a cost of 5.11 euro.

In that case, remember that it is a PARCEL, so the minimum height should be at least 2 cm.
