Hi everyone, has anyone ever seen the message CONTENT MISSING FOR MSG _267?
Summary: The discussion begins with noemlabarber_0 asking whether anyone has ever seen the message "CONTENT MISSING FOR MSG _267". Several participants join the discussion, but the contents of the messages are missing. No concrete information or solutions are provided regarding the issue raised about this particular error message.
I shipped a package with Bartolini and purchased an eBay label. The package arrived at its destination on April 1st. Only today did I notice, opening the sold orders and not seeing the usual green checkmark for "delivered", that there is this text CONTENT MISSING FOR MSG - 267; when looking at the shipping history it shows as delivered, but not yet available for pickup.. I assume it is a pickup point since it had an ecp code and in the shipping description it shows like this as in the photo. (I made a collage of both images). Now, the buyer has not written to me anything, nor has he opened any claims, but I wonder, what happened to the package? Is it still there at the pickup point, or has it been delivered? Thanks to anyone who can help me understand more.

OP1 year agoHi everyone, I wanted to update you.. The buyer replied to me, says they picked up the package and everything is okay, so it’s probably an eBay bug. Thank you all for your replies.

·1 year agoperfect, at least someone gives an update...... I'm not convinced about the bug ( which could be...... ) , but being too specific on the community is often misunderstood ....... also because evidently some people who chime in already have the answers ready ( whether they actually match reality is another matter entirely..... )
anyway, in case of a dispute, what is stated on the courier's website applies......even if sometimes you have to point it out to eBay support.....

OP1 year agoSorry guys, but I only just got the notification of your replies. I tried to write to the buyer (who still hasn’t replied).. The eBay tracking is still the same, on parcellsapp it says delivered and on Bartolini’s site too. But what I can’t figure out is, since it was a pickup point, whether they delivered it to the pickup point or whether the buyer has already picked it up from the pickup point? As soon as I get a reply from the buyer, I’ll let you know. Thanks everyone

·1 year agoHi noemlabarber
According to BRT tracking, your package shows as delivered.
Sent from Palermo, destination Padua, package weight 3.5kg.

·1 year ago..... April Fool's Day......
maybe a check directly on the courier's website and/or, if possible, by contacting the relevant branch directly, at least to understand the meaning of the wording..... (which in any case seems quite clear if translated into Italian...... )
anyway, if the package arrived empty, I think you'll hear from the buyer soon......

·1 year agoIt seems to me more like a system error than a problem with the delivery of your package .......
Go directly to the BRT website and enter the tracking there to confirm the delivery has been made.

·1 year agoIt looks like the package arrived empty. If customer service confirms it, ask the courier or the broker who sold you the shipment for a refund.

Thanks

·1 year agohi m.depretis
If you also received the same error, then it is not a matter of "empty packages" but rather a temporary error with eBay's update interface that communicates with the BRT site.
I invite you to copy and paste the tracking code and enter it on the BRT site or parcelsapp
If the tracking shows as "DELIVERED" you can also contact the buyer and ask whether they received their order.

·1 year agoThanks, it’s possible that’s the case. I’ve already contacted the buyer, but since he left it at a drop-off point he’ll only be able to check tonight, after work. On all the tracking services (BRT and parcelsapp) it shows as delivered, but there’s still no checkmark on the eBay Orders page.
As soon as there’s any news I’ll write here, so as to (hopefully) reassure people with the same problem instead of scaring them with theories about empty packages...

·1 year agoIf it were true that it's only a communication problem, we'd need to figure out who that a****** was who called this error CONTENT MISSING.

·1 year agoYes, I agree that the error name is very misleading. In the anger/worry of the moment your post did not reassure me, but I don't want to blame you for it either. 😉 Let's say that when it comes to serious problems like lost/stolen shipments, it's very easy to rub salt in the wound by guessing, even when writing with the best intentions.
So, in my case I have a very positive update: the package was picked up by the customer at their pickup point and it was perfectly sealed, intact, and with the goods inside. Evidently, as heavenwelkin says, it was a generic error message. However, it should be said that on the "Orders" page of my eBay account the item still shows as "Shipped", and not "Delivered" with the green checkmark. I don't know whether the two things are connected.
Today I had tried to fill out the form to request BRT assistance; I'll copy and paste the customer service reply email, cutting out the names:
"Good morning ------,
I must tell you honestly that I don't know the meaning of that message, I don't know whether it's an internal thing from the sender, honestly I really don't know what it means.
Kind regards
--------
Padua Interporto Branch
Via Inghilterra 11, Padua (Pd)"
In short, even the people at BRT have the faintest idea of what it means. I hope that noemlabarber's package also arrived safe and sound, and that my post can reassure anyone who runs into the same message.

·1 year ago"CONTENT MISSING" translated into Italian means "contenuto mancante" and from there comes the hypothesis made by the user noemlabarber.
I noticed that that message was not part of the tracking and then code 267 is an error code in the IT field that occurs when there are problems with transmission / uploading of data.
The user certainly drew their conclusions in good faith.
