How to handle insurance for a used item
I have two Apple computers and an iPhone to sell. I am not a professional seller.
I find myself having to deal with insurance.
I set shipping prices using shipping rules and these do not offer the necessary flexibility for handling insurance.
For shipping I will use packlink and the insurance price is calculated based on the insured value.
Since one computer costs €500 and the other €2500, how do I handle these differences?
I had thought of creating an ad hoc shipping rule for each of the items I will be selling, but that seems like nonsense to me.
Do you have any suggestions, or should I go ahead with a specific rule for each item?

·1 year agoIn the meantime, if you haven’t already done so, I խորհուրդ you to take a look at the rules packlink applies regarding insurance because there are several conditions/limitations.
If the hardware is too old, they might not cover it and you’d end up wasting money.
For a read, you could start here:
https://www.packlink.it/consigli-utili/assicurare-spedizioni/#:~:text=Come%20sopra%20descritto%2C%20la%20copertura,alluvioni%2C%20incendi%20etc.).
https://support-ebay.packlink.com/hc/it/articles/209085085-Qual-%C3%A8-la-copertura-del-mio-invio
To get as complete an overview as possible, you need to browse around the packlink site and eBay’s site because the information is a bit scattered.
Best regards.
