DAC7 and Monthly/Annual financial statement

I believe the monthly "financial statement," the very detailed one, is more suitable for counting amounts and transactions. Am I right?

Last year I had noticed that my own count and eBay's statement were not identical.

In short, my question is:

- which line in the statement should be followed: Incoming payments? Ending funds? Or some other line with a different name?

This is so I can be sure not to exceed 2000 euros, of course. Clearly, it is easier for me to keep track of the total number of transactions, that much is clear.

The monthly financial statement COULD be useful for checking how much you have collected each month based on the counts that eBay makes.
So for DAC7 purposes it COULD be a useful tool for monitoring that the 2,000 euro thresholds are not exceeded.

Try looking for old discussions about DAC7 where other users have already discussed the counts.

But the advice I can give you is to keep a certain margin, maybe 1 or 2 items and 100 or 200 euros below the threshold, to stay on the safe side.

The eBay reporting system that arrives monthly was set up by the platform in 2021 and works well.

As for the DAC7 and counting issue, however, eBay has not yet managed to reach the same level of accuracy....
In short, a canceled purchase is counted, a disputed sale that is then refunded is counted, partial refunds are not counted.

So if you want a more complete picture of the situation, you definitely need to keep an eye on the monthly financial statement, but you also have to factor in that those unsuccessful sales are included in the calculation.
For example, I had listed a VCR that was bought from me 3 times.
2 times they did not pay (so in this case it is NOT included in the DAC7 calculation)
1 time they did pay and asked to cancel, and this transaction may have used up 1 sold item and about 60 euros for me.

Same story if you sell an item and then the buyer requests a return, probably for 2025 it has used up 1 sold item and the sale amount.

That has been the case both for 2024 and for 2025, we will see....

Let me reassure you: if in 2025 you exceeded the DAC7 threshold (in any way, 30 transactions and/or €2K), eBay will send you a copy of the report it sent to the tax authorities, so if in the Payments>Reports section you don't find anything by March of this year, you're all set.
Anyway, the annual total equals the total available amount received for your sales transactions (amounts deducted by eBay for fees, canceled or deleted orders and refunds are obviously excluded from the calculation),

Thanks. Even in the year 2025, I had received the report, the annual one, with the wording that referred to it as if I had gone over... etc., but in truth, I was well within the threshold. I believe that the report for AdE, in fact, is prepared both when someone goes over and when they stay under.
