Unknown/incomplete recipient
Good evening,
I've been an eBayer since way back in 2009, but only for the past year have I started selling the odds and ends I've accumulated over the years and some plants that grow on my land.
Now I find myself in a slightly strange situation: I sold 2 little plants, arranged the shipment through Packlink, and handed the package over at the BRT drop-off point.
The days go by and I realize that the tracking shows "recipient unknown/incomplete," I report it via WA to the buyer, who replies with a simple "ok".
The situation keeps staying the same until yesterday, when I read that the shipment will be returned to the sender.
Now I would like to know how I should handle it, most likely the 2 little plants will be beyond saving and so in that case I won't be able to resend them.
Thanks to anyone who replies.

·2 years agoIf the buyer still wants the little plants, they have to pay you as if it were a new order, meaning plants + shipping.
I don’t think little plants closed up in a box in the dark could survive for very long...
Then if you want, you can also do them the favor of shipping new plants again and only charge the buyer the shipping costs.
But personally, with such an inattentive buyer, I’d avoid making a second shipment that might end up going to waste again.........
Kind regards.

If you shipped EXACTLY to the shipping address provided by ebay, I’ll tell you that you bear no responsibility for this failed delivery.
If you notified the buyer and he simply replied ok without perhaps contacting BRT to have the shipment released, that is his negligence.
What could happen now?
The buyer could open a claim on ebay for item not received, and at that point I recommend that you contact ebay support right away to explain what happened.
If everything goes as it should, the dispute will be closed in your favor.
Or alternatively, nothing may happen, meaning the buyer doesn’t open any dispute and that’s the end of it.
If you should receive negative feedback, here too I recommend contacting support and explaining the situation, asking for any possible removal of the negative feedback.
Kind regards.
