Customs documents for private sale to the UK

Good morning everyone,
I’m asking for help from anyone who has already had direct experience with a sale to the United Kingdom or who can answer anyway.
I’m a private individual and I sold a belt to a private individual in the UK.
I’ve read all the forums and articles about the issue, but they often contradict each other or are unclear, and I don’t want to make mistakes.
I kindly ask for these clarifications: starting from the list below, which specifies the documents I need to attach to the package:
CUSTOMS INVOICE:
- should I declare it as a commercial or non-commercial sale, since both parties are private individuals? The two forums on the subject say completely opposite things
- is the recipient’s "tax code" mandatory?
When I filled out the customs document on Ebay, they marked this data as "optional".
In the forum on the subject, however, I find this:
- besides the address (and the tax code if you tell me so in the point above), do I need to indicate any other recipient data or attach any of their documents? I don’t understand whether I need to put a copy of their documents in the package and the above-mentioned EORI, or whether these are only details that concern me as the seller. If I include a copy of my documents, do I mess up the EORI?
- Invoice: what do they mean by invoice? Is there a commercial invoice somewhere even though I’m a private individual? Where do I find it?
Is physically attaching the documents to the package enough, or is an "electronic" submission of the documents required?

·1 year agoIt all depends on what you use for shipping: for Poste, you just need to fill out the CN23 (and this is done at the Post Office with the clerk).
For carriers, it’s more complicated: you need a pro forma invoice and the customs declaration (in addition to a copy of an ID document to show at pickup).

·1 year agoI don't understand why all this fuss.... when I go to the post office I fill out a slip and then the postal clerk writes everything....

As per your instructions, I’ll specify commercial sale.
The "copy of the sales invoice issued to the buyer" do I find that on my eBay page?
Are the recipient’s documents mandatory? From the attached link I don’t understand; if I ask them to send me a copy of one of their documents or to fill out the EORI form, they’ll tell me to get lost (not to mention opening a privacy "issue")
Is the paper attachment enough, or does some recent regulation also require an electronic version?
