Question about a shipment with Poste Italiane
Checking the tracking for a purchase made on eBay, whose item should be delivered to a pickup point, I get what you see in the screenshot:
I have two questions:
1) if I set a pickup point as the delivery address, why does the tracking say it is being delivered to the post office?
2) regardless of the first question, I’m not quite sure whether I can already go and pick it up, because at the top (highlighted in red) it says "ready for return", while below it says out for delivery.

·2 years agoWhen you go to pick up the package at the post office, also stop by the pickup point to see if it’s closed for holidays and/or if it was closed for holidays or for some other reason on the day of delivery.
Ask them directly to clear up any doubts.
Kind regards.

OP2 years agoIn those days, the pickup point, where the package was to be delivered, was only open in the morning, so it seems the courier tried to deliver it in the afternoon.
Thanks a lot for your help!

·2 years agoIf the pickup point is closed (for holidays, absence, or simply because there was no one there when the courier arrived), the parcel has been redirected to UP.
And, as described, it is available for pickup from today (at the UP) and therefore "out for delivery" (the Anglo-Saxons would have written waiting for delivery... meaning they are waiting for someone to pick it up...).
