actual storage period for parcels at parcel pickup points
Summary: The discussion concerns the actual storage period for packages sent to a poste restante address. ambassadoris started the topic, but no specific details were provided in the messages.
A buyer wanted me to send the item they won to a post office box: the package arrived on Thursday, December 5 at the destination post office, but it has still not been picked up by the recipient.
On the notice I read that it will remain in storage for 10 business days before being returned to the sender.
But how am I supposed to calculate business days when it comes to the mail?
because if I calculate by removing Saturdays and Sundays, the storage deadline is December 18. But for the post office, is Saturday a business day or not?

Each fermopoint sets the maximum limit for package storage.
If you read 10 days, it is usually 10 TOTAL days, so if it arrived on December 5, to be safe, calculate up to December 14 as the deadline.
It could also be December 15, but I would avoid taking the risk because on the 15th the package may already have been sent back to the sender.
In any case, I recommend not waiting until the expiry deadline, but keeping a margin of 2 or 3 days before that.
Kind regards.
