eBay steals the money from completed sales and violates international laws
ebay stole my money after I sold about 5 items, I noticed that other users have suffered the same abuse, they threaten not to send payments and ask for information they are not authorized to ask for, I urge all sellers both private and professional to leave ebay, we need to make these giants that exploit poor people's work go bankrupt, if no one sells on this shitty site anymore things will only change for the better, the people are the power, collaborate

·3 years agoDid you manage to get your money back in the end? I'm in the same situation as you. They suspended my account and blocked the money from the shipped merchandise

·3 years agoThe only one of your listings that wasn’t removed by the system says: Selling as seen and liked, private sale
Other listings that were removed are shown as NEW items sold multiple times, as if you had several identical pieces available.
Anyway, you need to check your email inbox because eBay, before closing an account, sends an email that usually briefly explains the reason for the account closure and, if there’s money owed to you, tells you for how many days it will remain blocked in escrow before being credited to you.
Then you need to check whether you haven’t had other accounts with violations that were suspended before this one; sometimes, even by changing names, eBay manages to intercept any links with other accounts subject to restrictions.
Kind regards.

·3 years agosure, said by such an "expert" on Ebay as you are..............
read the rules before selling, it's better...........then of course one is free to use or not use other competing platforms

·3 years agoSorry rodolfz, but in 2023, with all the regulations there are, do you think it’s enough to go to the Chinese warehouse and buy, in cash and without an invoice, a gold-colored men’s PETER LEE watch (unknown Chinese brand) for 20 euros to resell it for 80 on eBay with a private account in significant quantities / amounts?
I understand the anger...... in fact these days.......it’s quite a BUSINESS.
Best regards.

·3 years agoFrom a quick look at what you sold, I think they asked you for the purchase invoices for what you sell.
This is not an illegitimate request, but an obligation that all platforms have under the European DAC7 directive.
If everything is in order, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

·3 years agoAnd what would be the unauthorized data they ask for... that exploit the work of poor people??
I’d like to remind you that eBay, like all other sites, has clear rules and that you “virtually” sign an agreement when you register and start using it... so there’s no point in not reading it and then complaining if it asks for the data you agreed to provide but don’t want to provide for your own gain!
Kind regards.
