Pickup point error
Summary: robfras_2904 had problems with a pickup point where, due to management errors, an expensive order shows as delivered, while another item, already picked up, shows as "lost." Using automated replies did not solve the situation. maurizio8837 suggests preventing the other person from picking up the item so it can be returned to the sender, or having the item resent at their own expense. He also shares similar experiences of delays with Poste Italiane, suggesting contacting customer service through the form.
At a pickup point, the store manager, evidently pretty unreliable, made a complete mess of it: I had two orders, and they matched one to the other order's code based only on first and last name.
So, one item, which is also fairly expensive and hasn’t even been shipped yet, is shown as deposited at the pickup point (and not picked up) while the other one, which I’ve already picked up, is still shown as “missing” (for more than ten days “in transit to pickup location” with the Poste link saying “the delivery has been delayed, we are doing everything possible so that your shipment arrives as soon as possible”).
OBVIOUSLY the bots, the AI replies are no help. Any suggestions?

·2 weeks agoThe only option you have is for the buyer (informed about the exchange) not to pick up the item so that it gets returned to the sender. If, on the other hand, you don’t trust postal returns, you should ask them the favor of sending it back to you (at your expense, of course) by providing them with a shipping label you bought through eBay’s shipping manager. As for the delays, you don’t need to do anything except wait. Recently, because of a package I was expecting that instead got sent back to the sender for unknown reasons, I contacted Poste Italiane customer service using the contact form and they then called me. But my case was a very clear question, whereas if yours is a delay they’ll reply, “it’s been delayed, it’ll take a few days.” From experience, when these delays happen it’s because the people at the transit hub messed things up, like shipping an order to Lucca, tracking shows it as far as Pisa and then the next day I find out it’s in Palermo. Here the delay, after reporting it, is because they had to find it and send it back to Pisa

OP2 weeks agoWhat I got, even though it still shows as in transit (and will stay that way!...) told me that the important thing is that it arrived and that's that. The other one said they'll ship later (an item that hasn't even gone on presale yet).
