Incomplete shipping label and difficulty paying to send the package!
Hello everyone,
this has been happening for a while now: after I enter the weight and dimensions of the package, "..oops something went wrong.." keeps popping up over and over and it won’t let me pay. Tonight I then tried with my iPhone and after several attempts it worked, but look at the shipping label, my surname is incomplete! What will the courier say? I can write the address on the package, but I’m not sure. And why these difficulties lately? Thanks to anyone who can reply, and best regards.

·2 years agoHave you checked carefully that the address is a pickup point with the pickup code provided by ebay, or is the buyer entering a pickup point without a pickup code?
I’m wondering this because I’m reading name surname C/O stationery shop
If that were the case, the stationery shop could quite happily refuse to hand over the package since it would have no kind of payment from the system and could quite happily claim to have delivered the item (their word against the buyer’s)
Let’s say that, having proof of delivery, you’re protected by ebay, but it’s better to avoid trouble with the buyer.
Check this point carefully in the order details on ebay, where the full address can be seen, including the phone number.
Best regards.

·2 years agofrankly, BRT labels have been like this for a while........ and anyway courier drivers (the serious ones, at least.....) haven’t used the physical package as a reference for years......

·2 years agoThe sender and recipient address are limited by the system to a "certain" number of characters but ONLY on the label: they are communicated to the carrier "as is" as entered by you and therefore it sees the full thing on the terminal.
In any case, it is always good practice to supplement the BOL with a standard label clearly indicating the recipient (including phone number) and, at the top in smaller type and "crossed out", the sender's address.
