Packlink invoice paid twice
Summary: The discussion concerns an issue with a Packlink invoice that was paid twice. However, the specific authors' messages are not available to provide further details.
Did this happen to any of you too, receiving an email on 17/09/24 saying there was a problem with the automatic debit for payment of the fortnightly invoice? It asked me to pay the invoice so that the service wouldn't be blocked. I went ahead and paid the invoice, but on 23/09 the money was withdrawn again through the automatic debit.
I sent email after email to packlink asking for a reversal of a transaction, but I never got a reply.
I opened a PayPal dispute over the transaction on 23/09, pointing out that I had already paid the invoice on 17/09. The dispute was closed against me, saying that the transaction on 23/09 was authorized by the automatic debit (and they didn't see that it was a duplicate and that the invoice had already been paid).
Now I have opened a PayPal dispute over the transaction I made on 17/09, explaining everything again.
If even then I don't get the reversal of a transaction, I will go file a report with the Carabinieri.
Is there anything else I could do, or am I handling this the right way?

·1 year agolet’s say Packlink is no stranger to these..... let’s say.... "misunderstandings" ( see also later charges for "wrong" weights and measurements ) ....
anyway, either contact Packlink again (hoping for a reply), otherwise I don’t see any other solutions beyond the ones you’ve already taken.... maybe formally it would have been more correct to first dispute the 17/09 payment on Paypal....

·1 year agoThe question naturally arises: if you had automatic billing... and you knew you had it... why did you pay before the date when the payment would have been made automatically?
Kind regards.

OP1 year agoBecause the email received on 17/09 said that there had been problems with the automatic payment and that the invoice had to be paid otherwise they would have suspended the service. And in fact on the 16th they hadn't taken anything.
Only later (on 18/09) does it come out that they had fixed the system and that therefore they would have tried to collect via automatic payment. In that same email it says that they would have refunded the payments already made, but as of today that is not the case.

·1 year agoHonestly, I would have waited for the automatic withdrawal expiry date... 5/6 days of waiting wouldn’t have changed your life, nor would they have stopped you...
Have a nice day.
