Pending funds
I sold an item on eBay for the first time, but the funds are on hold (it says I have to wait until September 15), I have a standard Postepay and I don't have a bank account (I'm a student, I'm 21 years old), in the sellers section I keep getting a notice to complete the information to enter and it says to enter a bank account and the IBAN. Do payments have to be credited only to the bank account, or can they also go to the standard Postepay?

·2 years agoin short, and as other users have already said, you necessarily need a current account that accepts SEPA credits;
without naming names, you can search the web and maybe open one that is completely free .....;
NOTE: leaving things as they are is not advisable ...... after a certain amount of time ( which I don’t remember exactly at the moment... ) you risk no longer seeing the amount credited and "stuck" in the payment manager.....

·2 years agoSurely you wrote credits instead of debits without thinking
.....a current account that accepts SEPA debits, not credits.

·2 years agoStandard Postepay won’t do, you need a real current account or a card that allows you to receive bank transfers from abroad and where you can authorize direct debits (e.g. the ability to set up direct debit for bills).
As a Post Office Group product, you need at least the Evolution.
When you accepted the terms and conditions to sell on ebay you already knew about the payment hold ..... https://www.ebay.it/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold/payments-hold?id=4816&st=3&pos=1&query=Pagamenti%20in%20sospeso&intent=pagamenti%20sospesi&lucenceai=lucenceai&docId=HELP1450
and you knew that you had to link a suitable current account and go through the verification process .... https://www.ebay.it/help/selling/getting-paid/registrarsi-come-venditore?id=4792&st=3&pos=1&query=Registrarsi%20come%20venditore&intent=registrarsi%20come%20ve&lucenceai=lucenceai&docId=HELP1461

·2 years agoI keep being more and more baffled by how two types of users are increasing in this Forum:
- Those who sign up to sell on eBay as if they were placing an ad in "Porta Portese," completely ignoring the policies.
- Those who "demand" absurd things from sellers and even leave negative feedback if they don't get their way.
Clear sign that the platform is slowly (but inexorably) becoming national-popular.
In the most negative sense of the term...

OP2 years agoWell, look, like 90% of people do, unfortunately, I didn't read all the policies and I admit I was wrong

OP2 years agoAs I already replied to another user, unfortunately I didn't pay particular attention to the policies, assuming that the standard one was fine, and I admit I was wrong.. but one question, if they aren't charged to the card, do these funds remain in eBay's “wallet”?
