I bought a pair of Adidas shoes, and since I wasn’t satisfied, I started the return process. To get my money back for the purchase, I had to spend more than 9 euros on return shipping, and I also had to print out eBay’s standard label. Ridiculous! No point asking why people, like I will from now on, buy on other platforms; they’re much easier to deal with and, above all, without costs.

·3 years agoI also confirm that if you return something on Amazon with the correct reason (change of mind, meaning the item doesn't satisfy you or you bought it by mistake), the return shipping costs are on you. Then many people use incorrect reasons and a giant like Amazon overlooks its own rules.
Anyway, I returned a small item because of a purchase error, all I had to do was take it to the post office with their label and I didn't pay anything there; they refunded me immediately but kept 4 euros for the return shipping.

·3 years agoOn Amazon, it’s common and well-established practice to pass the returned item on to the next buyer; I myself have been a victim of this.
Items shipped using that thin cardboard "sheet" with no protective material at all.
If a traditional seller shipped the way Amazon does, any dispute over a damaged item would be rejected for failure to comply with the guidelines on proper packaging with suitable protective material.
Average prices are higher than on eBay or e-commerce sites.

You can't have your cake and eat it too if you want to use Amazon's services you have to stay in its ecosystem that seems logical to me too.....

·3 years agoIf you're not satisfied with your purchase, that amounts to a change of mind, so under Italian law (not Amazon's) the return shipping is the buyer's responsibility, that is, yours.
It's absurd to think otherwise... even if on Amazon you open a return request for that kind of reason, the return is always at the buyer's expense... the problem is that it's always used inappropriately and incorrectly...
