I have a possible report of misconduct
I bought some tires with free delivery and completed the payment of €246. The next day I got an email from the seller asking me to pay €10 for shipping costs as indicated in the listing. But in the listing it isn't indicated anywhere, and at checkout the delivery showed as free. The email, saved in eBay messages, asks for payment of €10 for each tire, but only requests payment of €10 total, otherwise they won't ship it. The next day I get a message on my smartphone from PayPal for a payment request of €10 from Globando Trading srls, which of course I don't pay. Today I receive the shipped order email. I don't know how to ask eBay for an explanation.

·2 years agoI did a test purchase of 4 tires and it turns out that the shipping costs are free.
Now, if the seller writes within the auction that there are shipping costs to be paid, these must be included in eBay's checkout process.
Now I don't know whether this was done on purpose to mislead buyers or whether it's due to a lack of knowledge of eBay, so they don't know how to set up the shipping rules.
The fact is that in case of an inconsistency / discrepancy between what is written in the listing and what the purchase options with the related shipping are, what matters is what is generated by eBay's payment system.
For this reason the seller shipped the item anyway, because in case of a dispute from you, he would have been in the wrong.
He did try to ask you for more money, and having realized there was nothing to be had, he went ahead and fulfilled the order anyway as if nothing had happened.
If the seller sent you an extra payment outside the platform, it should be REPORTED because according to the rules it is an attempt to avoid eBay's fees / commissions, as well as being a rather unfair practice toward the buyer.
Best regards.

·2 years agoThe listings include this phrase:
"IN CASE OF AN ORDER OF 4 TIRES, 2 SHIPMENTS WILL BE MADE
*For orders of a single piece, the shipping cost is €10.00"
So now we need to know how many tires he ordered because I think they’ve set the settings so they always require at least 10 euros per sale.
Not transparent at all and misleading behavior.
