·1 year agoI see it registered as a professional seller, I don't know if he changed the details in the meantime.

·1 year agoYou can't switch from a professional account to a private one.
it could be a bug......

·1 year agoBut I guess it doesn't prevent the opposite transition, I dunno, when I go into the profile I see: company name, address and VAT number.

·1 year agoSo why does it say "Private seller" in the listings?
mocer-75
·1 year agoDoes it show up as a professional seller, plus if you go into the profile and check the details there’s VAT number etc.
All that’s missing is for eBay to make a mess of things...

·1 year agoI clicked on "View listings" next to the user's name and if you look at the image I attached to the reply to Buyus-0 you can see that it says "Private seller".
I think Ciz did the same, because she had also pointed out that the user was selling new items as a private seller (and even got called names for it, like I did).
I have no idea what happened, but the account definitely has some issue.

·1 year agoIt seems like an inconsistency between the gallery and the listing... if you view the listings as a gallery, it shows that it’s a private seller... if you open the listing instead, it shows a professional seller with the relevant details.
I’d say that’s quite a significant bug...
Kind regards.

OP1 year agoYes, I am contacting Ebay, I hope it will be resolved soon.

·1 year agoThe BUG is one of the serious ones, it should have been around for months already and, since these are professional sellers who pay for the service, if they had been able to do it right away they certainly would have done it.
eBay reminds me of the famous Flash plug-in that until a few years ago was indispensable and was always full of bugs that only kept increasing over the years, then they took it out of circulation.
Programming on eBay is evidently complex, and every time you touch something to fix one problem, others pop up....
If we consider that everything starts from eBay .com or .uk and then, in addition to being translated, the code certainly has to be worked on to adapt it to the Italian version, which is not exactly identical to that of other countries.
They should redo the platform from scratch and make it the same in all languages, where only the translation would change.... but it would be a huge and economically costly job, so they keep going on by the skin of their teeth 😎

·1 year agoGood grief, Flash was such a sieve; I remember my father-in-law's computer, every time he turned it on there was a new version of Flash to download, in the end even Adobe gave up on developing it (by then HTML5 had already taken over).
Anyway, yeah, a pretty nasty bug, I hope it gets fixed, but if it's like the others I'm skeptical they'll do anything. Years ago I reported that international registered mail was buggy in eBay's APIs (the shipment wasn't showing up), reported it, never fixed.

·1 year agoYou can't imagine the amount of work that goes into fixing a bug, and the real risk of doing more harm than good.
They should rewrite the platform from scratch starting from a modern programming language because 30 years in computing terms is way too many....
Amazon is fine, since when they made the site they've left it pretty much unchanged in structure, graphics, and how it works....
eBay has always been a work in progress.....

·1 year agoMuhammad, why are you speaking in English on the eBay Italia forum?
I don't think any eBay support agent from abroad reads here.....
Anyway, you can't get help on the forum for these issues, you need to contact eBay support.
Go here, choose the topic and then have them call you.

Kind regards.

·1 year agoHeaven... What problems do you think someone has who has hundreds of items for sale, all strictly new, as a private seller???
heavenwelkin
·1 year agoI hadn't noticed that he was listed as a private seller......😎
I took it for granted that he was a professional from how well he had set up the shop 😂🤣

OP1 year agoI am professional seller, for your information.

·1 year agoYou are a professional seller, but you are selling your items as a private one.
So you are not paying the right fare to ebay: private sellers pay lower rates then professionals.
You are not paying your taxes to italian state, too.
I'm sorry about that, but I'm afraid that the answer of cizeta1964 is right.

OP1 year agoHhaha no, i am paying taxes plus i am professional seller.

·1 year agoThis is how I see your insertions and I think the others users see the same.
If you are professional, I think there is something wrong with your account.
Better contact Ebay assistance instead of a community of users.
And better not to offend people who are trying to help you.
