Has the seller shipped it?

Hello everyone, something strange is happening to me. I purchased and paid for an order; it’s a book shipped via “pieghi di libri,” and as the delivery address I set a pickup point near my house, because I’m often not home. Now for a few days I’ve been checking the order progress status and the “bar” is only completed for payments; it doesn’t show as shipped. What’s strange, though, is that at the top right there’s a notice saying the seller has already shipped it. In all this, I haven’t received any email, nor a tracking link for the shipment. How is that possible?

·2 years agoI just want to point out one small thing: even if it isn’t tracked, according to the user’s screenshot, the item wasn’t even marked as shipped by the seller. Other than that, I agree with everything; book fold isn’t tracked, it’s also pretty slow, getting it delivered to a pickup point... meh...
Good luck!

·2 years agoIf I were you, I would have avoided having a book parcel delivered to a pickup point; it still depends on what you chose, because eBay pickup points are “Fermopoint” and aren’t real Italian Post pickup points, but above all, as sika700 reminds us, there is no tracking of any kind, unless it’s the registered book parcel, which costs a little less than 5 euros if under 2kg.
Anyway, don’t worry because it’s normal for a book parcel to take a long time and seem lost in the void; it can take 1 week, 2, even 3. No one will notify you anyway; the only thing you can do is call the point and ask if there’s a package in your name.

·2 years agoassuming that a "simple" piego di libri (so not registered) is a purely postal service and not trackable (so the seller cannot enter a tracking code), one thing is not clear: did you choose a pickup point from the system (because the seller offered it among the options) or did you enter the address corresponding to the pickup point as the fixed destination?

·2 years agook, so, in the case it arrives at the pickup point, they basically do it for free (....since it isn’t tracked.....) and it arrives in the regular mail: at least you know the pickup point staff personally (who are usually newsstands, tobacconists, bars, etc...), otherwise it’s pretty easy to imagine one of the possible fates the package could meet.....
the problem anyway is on the seller’s side, so if the untracked package doesn’t arrive, it remains their problem and, as indicated by Sika and the relevant link, you have to resort to the undelivered package procedure.

·2 years agoHello,
book mail has no tracking and handling at the Pickup Point is very difficult since it isn't linked to any code.
If you don't receive delivery confirmation from Fermo Point, it can't come from anywhere else and so either go and check in person whether it has arrived, or at the end of the presumed delivery date, open a report:
