2 missed deliveries in a month

I've been shipping on ebay for over 20 years, never had a package lost, but since I started using the service offered directly by ebay, 2 packages lost in a month with all the related hassles with buyers. I'm forced to go back to the old system, more expensive but with fewer problems.

As they say, never leave the old road for the new one, you know what you’re leaving but you don’t know what you’ll find... to save money!

Since you have an amateur radio activity, you could open a VAT number and take out a subscription directly with the courier and get even better prices than Packlink.

EBay doesn't offer any service, it only has an agreement with Packlink which, in turn, uses couriers of your choice such as Poste, SDA, DHL, UPS, BRT.

more than Packlink ( which is eBay's shipping manager, and as such offers various couriers) , it would be more interesting to know which courier was used.......
then , as indicated by Heavenwelkin, in case of a lost package Packlink has its own procedure to follow in order to be able to take advantage of any refunds....

I’ll answer you right away, Packlink offers various couriers, I’ve always used Poste Italiane, at my place SDA comes punctually for pickup, but then I don’t understand how the shipment ends up in NEXIVE’s hands. Once the courier marked it as Delivered, but the buyer received nothing and wanted the money back, yes after a month and a half I got my 35 euros back, but where I’m from that’s called satisfaction of the...... I lost a brand-new radio worth 160 euros sold for 90. This last one, again NEXIVE says wrong address, but it was correct. furthermore the buyer’s phone number was also written there and no one called him.

....let’s say I’m not surprised to hear this infamous name again : Nexive ;

after the acquisition by the Poste Italiane / SDA group, it evidently still operates in the shadows...... I won’t add anything else..... anyway, you can still read numerous posts about this (former?) courier here on the forum .....

anyway if you rely on SDA / Poste even elsewhere / with other providers, it may be that the delivery service is entrusted to this courier..... after all it has been part of the group since 2021..

You were refunded 35 euros because you didn’t insure the parcel for 90 euros.

People use packlink because it offers low shipping rates, and most sellers are very careful about saving a few euros because usually (statistically) the vast majority of deliveries go through fine.

Then a sale comes along that has had some setbacks and ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE......

The fault is neither ebay’s nor packlink’s if the parcel was entrusted to NEXIVE and got lost, it could have happened even with a shipment bought directly at the post office.

If you sell remotely you have to be prepared to accept post-sale setbacks that can sometimes happen.

With packlink you get 35 euros of free insurance on Poste Italiane shipments.

Check whether you meet the requirements, then open a support ticket to get reimbursed up to 35 euros.

If you meet the requirements, go to the site spedizioni.ebay.it, log in and then click on the shipment that was lost; on the shipment page there will be the option to open a support ticket.
