Good morning, I hope you can help me. My partner (https://www.ebay.it/usr/giobart1) received an email from nivi for the recovery of an eBay debt regarding an invoice for fees of over €400 dating back to February 2020 (from the details of the invoice attached to the email, there appear to be two large transactions of €4000 made on Ebay.de). He, whose account has been open since 2005, has never sold anything, he has always only made purchases on Ebay.it. He therefore replied that he had no outstanding balance and, fearing a scam, he asked eBay support for clarification, but they confirmed the invoice, telling him that the account had previously been blocked some time ago for non-payment and that, since more than three years had passed, they could not carry out checks regarding unauthorized access or anything else. At the time he had thought his account had been blocked because of incorrect credentials, had asked for help from customer service and had resolved it. In the app he does not see any transactions, but I fear he would not see them anyway because more than three years have passed. On the browser, for now, he cannot log in. In recent years he has never received reminders or anything else. How is this possible?What can you advise us?
