I’m turning to the more experienced members for advice. I collect stamps of the Federal Republic of Germany, and over the last four months, having some time available, I have made several purchases of stamps I was missing. Nothing particularly expensive, at most around ten euros, with purchases from sellers in Japan, Turkey, Canada, Latvia, France, and Germany. Unfortunately, out of 25 letters (ordinary mail), 10 never arrived. I don’t want to question whether the letters were actually sent, and I also understand that this is ordinary mail, but a loss rate this high in just 4 months seems excessive to me. On the other hand, paying for registered mail every time for stamps that cost only a few euros also seems excessive. At this point I have preferred to suspend all purchases. But is it possible that nothing can be done about this poor service? I would like to know whether there are other users in my situation, maybe concentrated in Campania or in the province of Naples, to try to understand where the problem comes from. I would appreciate advice on how to handle this (file a complaint with the post office, report it to the Carabinieri??). Thank you for any suggestions.

Open a case for every order that hasn’t arrived... obviously within 30 days of the presumed delivery date:

OP4 months agothat’s what I’m doing, but 10 letters not received out of 25 expected in the last 4 months seems a bit too many to me. At this point I no longer feel like making purchases only to then have to request a refund almost every time. Something isn’t working along the postal route and there should be a system to involve Poste Italiane.
