Shipping schedule changes
Summary: A discussion took place about modifying shipping timelines, involving participants edgar.ma, ortofantastico, and heavenwelkin. The dialogue was extensive, with several exchanges between edgar.ma and ortofantastico, and some input from heavenwelkin. The conversation progressed over the course of two days, suggesting a detailed examination of the proposed changes.
For personal reasons, I'll only be able to ship packages 1 day a week (Saturday), so I'd like to understand how to choose this option? If I go to items to ship and change the entry in the dropdown menu, I'm asked to choose from 1 to a maximum of 3 days.
How can I do it? Do I need to write it in the profile description?
Thanks

·1 year agoyou have to change them all, ok, then in the future it should already set them by default for you, but it's strange that there isn't an advanced form on the app -.-"

·1 year agoDuring the creation of a listing, the packaging times can be modified UP TO 40 DAYS.
If you already have an active listing, just click edit listing.

OP1 year agoUnfortunately, it seems there is no solution.
The only option is to use eBay Direct Contact
Here’s how to create an eBay Direct Contact listing:
The fees for the Direct Contact listing vary depending on the category and the listing duration.
But I don’t need to create a new listing, I’d like to understand whether there’s a way to extend the time for preparing the packages and for shipping.

·1 year agoI’m not sure whether the answer to the question has been found, but just in case, I’d like to point out that on eBay there are 2 factors that affect the estimated shipping times set by eBay.
1) The shipping and handling time the seller takes before shipping the item.
2) The expected delivery time depending on the shipping service you choose.
If you can only ship once a week (in your case, Saturday), you need to set a higher number of days.
Packing times: sellers can set packing times based on how long it takes them to package the item and prepare it for shipping. These times can range from the same business day up to a maximum of 30 business days from the time payment is received

OP1 year agoThank you for the information. My question was, however, about how to set it up.

·1 year agoNot everything is laid out in black and white in eBay's guides.
You also need to take a bit of initiative and start looking.......

OP1 year agoIf I go to the individual listing and click at the top to edit it, the same drop-down menu always appears with at most 3 days available.

OP1 year agoSo, I think I’ve found the solution.
You need to create a shipping rule and from there set the desired shipping days. However, it seems it’s not possible to assign it to all listings, but you have to do it manually listing by listing.

·1 year agoYes, the active settings remain those of the last auction that was created.
If you sell several types of items that require international shipping with exclusions for certain countries, or budget shipping instead of courier, etc., when you need to create a new listing use the method "list a similar item" and you’ll find those sales settings already set up.
Obviously you’ll have to edit the photos, title, category, description, etc...
Kind regards

·1 year agowhen making a new listing at the top right (after you’ve made the listing) go to advanced form edit and you should have more than three days. (not right away from edit, first make a new listing)

OP1 year agoBut I can't redo the listing for all the items, that's ridiculous 😅isn't there really some way to edit it?

OP1 year agoAmong other things, I tried to create a new listing but it always shows me the same options, maximum 3 days

·1 year agoto switch to the more complete method at the top right somewhere .. I don't remember exactly 😞

·1 year agofrom 1 to 3 days because you use the simplified listing form for ads, otherwise you can put more.. if you take a look at mine, I always put (unless there are mistakes) 5 days (which become 7 with Saturday and Sunday) and then in the description I usually say that I put a week because I ship on Monday or Tuesday ... example https://www.ebay.it/itm/356151268717

OP1 year agoOk, so how do I use the other module? And change the timing in the items for sale?
