PACKAGE IN TRANSIT SINCE OCTOBER 16 SHIPPED WITH POSTE - EBAY AND POSTE ARE WASHING THEIR HANDS OF IT!
I’m writing to point out, if that even needs pointing out, the level of lousy service and indifference of the people involved in the buying/selling activities on Ebay. As a seller, I regularly bought a shipping label and sent a package on October 15. Since the 16th, the package has been marked IN TRANSIT. I write to the post office, and they tell me to contact Ebay. I write to Ebay, and they tell me to contact the post office. I write again to Ebay, and they tell me to write to packlink. I open a ticket that then turns out not to be a real support request. Following the kind advice of packlink, through Ebay as an intermediary, I finally open a nice claim for loss. The moral of the story. The carrier responsible for the shipment CANNOT - FIND - A - PACKAGE - HANDLED - BY - THEMSELVES!!! but it’s as if I didn’t know what I’m doing at work. As if I were unable to track down this or that piece of data essential for a customer. But then the post office.....not some fake entity like Nexive......is there a consumer protection service to turn to in cases like this? Cases in which everyone involved couldn’t care less and keeps bouncing the responsibility back and forth to find ONE DAMN PACKAGE OF 30 cm!!!!!! But I ask myself, how can you not know where a package ends up???? Who is the last transport company that took charge of it? Who handled it at the sorting center? There must be user codes for whoever handles shipping procedures, right?? It really seems absurd and impossible to me that there can be this level of indifference toward people who suffer damage because of them.

·1 year agoEven if the route is "linear" it never follows this linearity.
In other words, if the parcel has to go from Milan to Milan, it passes obligatorily through at least three different locations, namely the sending post office, the local hub and the destination post office (even if this were the same as the sending one...).
It goes without saying that if sender and recipient are in two different areas, the transit locations increase accordingly.
And so does the risk of "problems"...

·1 year agoAs clearly stated in the first post, when your reliability as a seller is at stake
there's no way around it, I handle it myself. I prepare the packing box with the
appropriate dimensions, pad the box with the item nicely wrapped, check the weight and size once it's all done, and send it off to the post office at 8:30 in the morning. That way, after an hour, on Poste Italiane's shipment tracking service I can already check the route. Taken in charge at, in transit at the sorting center at, until it says: out for delivery! Stop. I don't delegate to anyone, I don't ask anything of anyone, I keep my parcel tightly in hand until I receive from the relevant office a copy of the shipment with time, day, month, year, and a little kiss for good luck out of superstition. Just this morning, looking at the service, I read: your package was delivered yesterday at 12-1/4. Automatically on eBay in the sales platform I saw eBay's wording:
Package delivered to the recipient. Great. Only now am I focusing elsewhere. Best wishes.

OP1 year agoIt’s just that every now and then there’s no time to go to the post office and put up with the queue. It’s true, though, that when you keep sub-sub delegating, in the end it’s always a mess, but my question is simple. How on earth is it possible that a package that, all things considered, just has to travel a really straightforward, short route (100 km) disappears? How is it possible that they can’t do targeted searches and give a clear answer?
Unfortunately, if after an hour or after a day you realize the package isn’t moving, Poste’s answer will always be the same: shrug. Did you get insurance? good for you. Didn’t you? Tough luck....

·1 year agoIn these cases insurance is a great choice because it would cover you, but nobody insures every shipment because statistically the risk of a package getting stuck isn’t high.
If you had shipped directly through the post office, bypassing the intermediary service, you would have gotten a pretty lousy refund, the price of a sack of potatoes.
If I remember correctly, a refund of 1 euro per kg 😎
For me, a package disappeared into thin air in some post office, and I got the refund from ebay-packlink because insurance up to 35 euros was included in the price.
Refund received and after 2 months the package turned up and was delivered.
So don’t lose hope....
Best regards.

·1 year agoFirst of all, eBay doesn’t ship anything, it isn’t a courier and simply invites you to use a service offered by Packlink... but no one is obliged to do so!
Packlink doesn’t ship anything, it isn’t a courier but simply a shipping broker.
When there are too many steps, it’s only natural that gaps and confusion arise.
If at your workplace you delegate a task to a colleague who in turn delegates it to another operator, it’s obvious that if they come asking you for answers, you’ll have serious difficulty understanding what actually happened.
It’s not an excuse, but it’s always better to use whoever actually ships the item... not an intermediary.
Have a good day.
