Package sent back to the sender by SDA for no reason and new shipment tracking
Good evening,
here I am again, sorry, but this month on eBay something or other keeps happening to me.
So, I order an item from the province of Pavia, the very kind seller ships it the day after my order with PosteDelivery Business Express. Everything seems to be going well until the package arrives at the SDA branch in Cura Carpignano (PV), which decides to send the package back to the sender.
I write to the seller and he tells me that SDA has sent several packages back without any apparent logical reason and tells me he is working on getting the shipping labels to re-ship those packages (including mine) with TNT.
Now, the point is that the product shows as delivered (to the sender, which can only be inferred from the location, but delivered nonetheless) and I read that in general on eBay it is not possible to change the shipping code by entering another one.
So I’m wondering: do I need to do something? For example, do I need to report to eBay that the package never arrived? And to receive the new TNT shipping code, do I have to wait for a private message from the seller?

OP2 years agoProblem solved: evidently the seller didn’t know how to change the shipping code, but the package arrived a little while ago, so even though I couldn’t follow the tracking, the delivery still went through successfully and that’s what matters! Thank you so much, arcobaleno2022 and heavenwelkin, for the help you gave me, which will be invaluable for future shipments I receive, in the hope that these problems never happen again 😊

·2 years agoIn this case the seller has these options:
- Cancel the sale and refund you in full
- Reschedule a new shipment
If you do not receive the item within the estimated time from ebay, you can open a claim for item not received.
If you are in correspondence with the seller, try to keep it through ebay messaging; for example, if they leave you a new tracking number there because they are not able to change the one visible on ebay.
ebay messaging is valid in case of post-sale problems when it is necessary to contact ebay customer service.
If the seller does not know how to modify the tracking, they can also cancel the sale and refund you and then you can agree on a new order/purchase.
