Package shipped using a different method than the one indicated in the listing
Hello everyone, last Wednesday I bought an item and paid via PayPal.
In the listing description it says that the shipping method used is "tracked registered mail" at a cost of 4.99 € which is ultimately the same price shown in the "Shipping, returns and payments" section with the description "Standard (Other courier 3-5 days)".
I paid for the item using this payment method.
This morning I checked the code and noticed through the postal service website that it is a posta1 and not a "registered tracked mail" as indicated in the listing.
Leaving aside the fact that here where I live, parcels sent with posta1, even if marked as delivered, are often not found because I have my mailbox on a public road (in fact I only buy with trackable shipping), how should I handle this situation?
Thanks in advance.

OP2 years agoI checked today and the package shows as delivered already yesterday at around noon 😂
No need to say that I found nothing, neither today nor yesterday when I got back.

·2 years agoSince, as you say ..... in the listing description it says that the shipping method used is “trackable registered mail” at a cost of €4.99 which in the end is the same price shown in the “Shipping, returns and payments” tab with the description “Standard (Other courier 3-5 days)” ..... before opening a claim for item not received, contact eBay customer support: go to the help and contact section, click on the transaction you need help with, scroll all the way down and contact support directly in chat or have them call you at the mobile number registered on your account and explain everything in detail, don't leave the case to the automatic procedures or you'll almost certainly lose the dispute even if you're right.
The thing gets complicated because there is 1 shipment that shows as delivered to your address even if it is a posta1 and not a registered letter: for eBay the delivery has been made.
You have to tell the agent that your mailbox is on a public street and that for this reason you only buy with trackable shipments as stated in the description of the item you paid for and bought.
The point is that the seller used 1 different and untrackable shipping method instead of the one stated in the listing and that because of his fault you do not physically have the paid item, since it was probably taken by third parties because posta1 does not provide tracking and signature unlike registered mail.
