Packlink Surcharge
As far as you know, is there any class action against misappropriations for incorrect measurements?
without proof I can't withdraw the money from my PayPal account, but they do it constantly and regularly

·2 years agoSorry, but if the measurements you provided are smaller than what the courier found, I really wouldn't say you're entitled to a refund... If anything, to be honest, the surcharge makes sense, as happened, then whether it's excessive is debatable.
Eh...

·3 years agoHi, if the charges are not justified, you can open a PayPal dispute for non-delivery of service:
https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Seller-Central/PACKLINK-Read-this-if-you-ve-received-an-underpayment-notice-and/td-p/6432182/page/30
In the meantime, you need to reply to the emails where they gave you their measurements and weights, attaching the link to the item you sold on Ebay, or the product data sheet.
They may even cancel the charges already.
Have a good evening.

·3 years agoCan you describe more precisely what happened and which carrier you chose on PackLink?
Also, which products are you shipping, with what packaging and weights/dimensions?
As actar80 has already replied to you, there have been other complaints about these disputes and charges for alleged incorrect shipping declarations, in some cases with absurd increases in weights and dimensions.

Read the info and the possible solutions indicated by the user ninonakano, who covered the issue extensively. Arm yourself with patience and read the posts.

·3 years agoChecking the weight and dimensions of parcels is at the courier’s sole discretion, and it is written in the Transport Conditions that you (implicitly) accepted when you purchased the shipment.
It is up to you to provide proof of their error.

·2 years agoIt happened to me too. They improperly took 4 € and some change from me. The thing is that from the chart they sent me, it clearly shows that the measurements I provided are slightly lower than the ones they recorded. So in theory I should have received a refund. Instead, they literally put their hands in my pocket and took my money.

·2 years agoI personally know users who think in this way:
I report weights and measurements to pay the lowest rate, and if anything goes wrong, they’ll ask me to make up the difference.
The problem is that weights and measurements are always taken electronically by special scales, and then if there are any discrepancies these are sent to the broker, who then passes them on to whoever generated the label.
Granted, I don’t believe that a user enters higher weights and measurements to pay more than they should, what it comes down to is that at the time of payment you pay for what you entered.
If you realize that you entered the wrong weights and measurements and paid too much, you simply need to cancel the label under the appropriate Packlink section to receive the refund.
After that, you can generate a new shipping label with the correct data.
If you enter higher weights and measurements, it’s not at all said that the broker will refund you the difference if, when the package is weighed, lower weights and measurements are detected that fall into a cheaper price bracket.
The user who buys the label must be careful to enter the correct weights and measurements.
Anyway, Packlink always responds to support tickets; if you think there have been errors, it would be best to contact them by opening a complaint ticket.
Kind regards.
