I receive this morning an email saying that they would have charged me via PayPal 2.3 euros + VAT because a shipment I made more than two months ago exceeded the declared volumetric weight and if I wanted to dispute the surcharge I would have had to send photos (it doesn't say where) with the parcel's measurements.... 1) According to them after 2 months is the parcel still measurable? I’d say by now it’s already been opened and thrown away long ago.2) I always do my shipments from the post office where, before accepting the shipment, they check that the volumetric weight is correct; otherwise they reject the shipment or make you pay the surcharge immediately. The email continues with some generic explanations with links to nonexistent pages. In fact, because of how absurd the email was, at first I thought it was spam, but then, after reading it carefully and especially seeing the charge on my PayPal account a couple of hours later, I realized the email was tragically real.I wrote to PackLink but received no reply. I’m speechless, what a shame. I find the Packlink service very convenient, but unfortunately I’ll never use it again.
