Payment received but into a closed checking account

I received a payment for an item I sold and today the payment was sent to the checking account I had set up years ago. Unfortunately, since I hadn't sold on Ebay for quite some time, I forgot that the bank account linked to my profile was an old account that I recently requested and had closed.

How do I request the money be credited back? Do I need to contact Ebay or the bank directly? I tried sending an email to Ebay, but the links on the site don't work.

If the bank transfer was made yesterday and the checking account no longer exists, that transfer will not go through and, in all likelihood, the amounts will be credited back to your ebay account within a week.

Then, of course, you need to update your bank account details.
