Shipping payment with Postepay
Hello, I am a new private seller. For shipping I almost exclusively use eBay Shipping, but in my latest sales it didn’t let me pay with Postepay, my preferred payment method. The balance is there and the card hasn’t expired. At the time of payment it opens a page that says I have to confirm through the notification received in the PP app, something it hadn’t asked me to do until the 21st...
Is it a problem with Postepay, eBay or Packlink?

·2 years agoI DON'T think it is A PROBLEM but much more likely a SECURITY INTEGRATION because evidently they realized there could be the RISK that maybe with an open session and saved data someone could book a shipment at someone else's expense.
Or because of some bug in the system that allows unauthorized access by exploiting other people's accounts.
If you solved it with PayPal then that's fine.
Best regards.

·2 years agoAlternatively, if you have Paypal, try paying through Paypal if you have p.pay linked. Maybe that way it won't ask you for verification for low amounts.

·2 years agoBetter that way. Paypal probably filters the confirmation step through the notification received in the PP app since you have had the card linked to your Paypal account for a while, but as I was saying it’s not a problem, just a normal procedure they’ve extended in recent years.
I believe it’s now necessary to confirm through the app for purchases over 50 euros, which is then the limit for contactless payments in physical stores without entering the pin.
They do it for security reasons.

·2 years agoBy now they’ve moved payment verification to the apps; if it asks you to confirm, open the Postepay app and confirm on the notification you received.
It’s an app-notification verification practice that applies not only to eBay but to all online purchases.
