Why doesn't it print the shipping label for me?
Basically I sold an item and when I choose the print label option nothing comes out… basically it reloads the same page..

·2 years agogood morning, I apologize to everyone for barging in, but what is a preprinted label for? If I sell something, I copy and paste from the email I receive into Word and then print it out (if I don't feel like writing it by hand). Are there any cost savings to printing a label in advance?
thanks for the clarification

·2 years agoApparently you don’t ship with a courier by buying it online.
From your listings, I can see that you use posta1, so I assume you go directly to the post office to send your shipments, probably even the ones by courier.
In this discussion, we’re talking about shipping labels bought online, where you then have to print all the shipping information and codes and stick them on the package / envelope, and take the package to the post office (without paying anything for shipping) or to a pickup point, or else you have to wait for the courier to come and collect it from your home.
Best regards.

·2 years agoheavewelkin, thanks for the clarification, so it’s like I were using Poste Delivery Web without having to enter the data that eBay already knows, okay up to there I got it, but apart from that if, for example, I ship a package with Poste that costs 5.90 + 1.00 (small package, max 1 kg, by going to the post office and sending it to their home) using the label does it cost me more or does it cost the same? because then the agreements between eBay and Poste are not really of interest to me.. I mean, is it possible to automatically make a label for the package and then take it to the post office, spending 6.90 like I do now? thanks for your knowledge.

·2 years agoeBay in collaboration with Packlink offers a shipping service integrated into the platform.
It can be used and managed directly from here by entering the username and password you use to log in to eBay.
https://spedizioni.ebay.it
For Poste Delivery Web at the moment, for the 1 kg rate you would spend 5.11 euros.
This rate includes delivery to Poste - Punto Poste and then home delivery to the recipient’s address.
Enter all the buyer’s details, the parcel’s weight and measurements, and then eBay-Packlink generates a label that you have to print and attach to the parcel.
Then you have to go to the post office to drop off the parcel.
You’ll be given a receipt and you won’t have to pay anything because you’ve already paid for the service to eBay-Packlink.
Kind regards.

·2 years agoThe label that is generated is in PDF format.
If you don't have a program to open PDF files, the generated label won't display for you and as a result you won't be able to print it.
Before printing the label, you need to open it with a program that can read PDFs; browsers might also have this feature built in.
Once the PDF file is open, you can print it.
If you're having trouble opening the shipping label, try saving the file on your computer and then try opening it and printing it.
Best regards.
