Hello everyone and thanks in advance,I’m writing regarding a (possibly improper) charge of customs fees in addition to VAT. I bought a good from the USA for about €135, paying the VAT at the time of payment on eBay.However, when the parcel was delivered, I was charged an additional 25 euros for 'customs charges and postal fees'. Wanting to better understand the situation and possibly get a refund, I wrote both to eBay support and to the postal service, but it’s as if they keep passing the buck to each other.As far as I know, you are required to pay VAT but not customs charges if you stay within the €150 cost limit. Should I have paid the additional charges or not? In the end, who should I actually turn to? Also, they asked me whether eBay’s IOSS authorization process is carried out regularly.Thanks for the clarification, and sorry for my obvious inexperience.
