Package 1 not received
After several purchases with Posta 1 that arrived fine (including several from this same seller), what I feared would eventually happen has happened. The package shows as delivered today at 9:47 (a pretty absurd time already, since my mail carrier never comes before 10:30) but there’s nothing in the mailbox, empty like all the others in the building, and my neighbor, who was at home, didn’t notice anything and no one knocked on her door either (we’re on the ground floor). Now I’m reading pretty discouraging things about Posta 1, which, when it shows as delivered in a fake way, the seller is always given the benefit of the doubt... Do you think there’s any hope they scanned it on arrival at the post office but didn’t actually deliver it and it’ll come tomorrow? The weather is bad today too. What makes me most angry is that I bought in complete trust because the shipment was declared as standard registered mail (trackable and safe) and then, instead, Posta 1 was used... The seller also has the habit of not even putting the tracking in the listing but sending a private message where you can see an envelope and the Posta 1 label with the tracking. Is it possible that I could lose a dispute over something like this?

·3 years agoGood morning, I have the same problem too: a shipment made by the seller with posta1 shows as delivered this morning, but there was absolutely nothing in the mailbox

OP3 years agoAs soon as I got home, I camped out on the balcony like a Swiss guard. From the envelope and from the postman's own confirmation, it was a regular one with just a single stamp on it, not a Posta 1... There was no sticker on the envelope with the tracking from the photo I was referring to. I don't understand anything anymore. Promises registered mail, sends a Posta 1 photo (which anyway shows as delivered in my city at the time and day I told you), I get a regular envelope xd.

·3 years agoIf the envelope had your address on it and that code shows as delivered yesterday in your city, it's almost impossible that there were two different shipments; most likely the sticker with the two-dimensional code was removed.
I'm glad, in any case, that the matter was resolved positively.
Thanks for the update.

OP3 years agoYou never see the photo data he sends privately with Posta 1 code, at this point I think the mailman removed it to cover his ass for yesterday’s fake delivery. Strangely, he knocked on the neighbor’s door and not mine, and he was shoving the package into the mailbox in a hurry; as soon as I blasted him saying thank goodness it had arrived because he had marked it delivered yesterday, he immediately went off on one: no, this isn’t Posta 1, it’s ordinary, it’s ordinary. And he ran off. Throughout all this, I never once said the words Posta 1.

That is VERY strange.
Isn't it possible that someone took an extra day to open your envelope, check the contents and then put it back in another envelope with new postage?
Kind regards.

OP3 years agoHi, no, upon closer inspection of the envelope it was clearly noticed that a sticker in the bottom-left corner (with the envelope held horizontally) had been removed, the one for mail 1 in fact. Probably the postman or some postal worker took it off because maybe if they mark it as delivered they can’t not actually deliver it, Wednesday there was bad weather, as I told you... So someone made it pass as a regular one that had nothing to do with that tracking I had.

·3 years agoIt's still an unusual situation.....
Unless the sender paid the 2.80 for posta1 with stamps..... these shouldn't be on the envelope.
Anyway, it doesn't matter much, the important thing is that you received the item you bought.
Best regards.

OP3 years agoChecking the tracking now, the delivery time has changed from 9:47 to 12:49... I went down in the building at 12:54 to pick up another package from SDA, and of course I had a look but there was nothing there. Whoever can make sense of it is good.

·3 years agoIf the mail carrier certifies that the envelope with the code in the photo was delivered to your address, there will be little to do.
Anyway, you can see that there have been many cases where the envelope arrived even days later than what the tracking stated. Someone at the post office has the bad habit of marking it as delivered at the start of the round and then actually delivering it at their own pace.

OP3 years agoAh ok, Mario, thanks, let’s hope that’s the case, also because if you recover the post I wrote at the same time as yours, you’ll notice that the delivery time has changed from 9:47 to 12:49, something that never happened for deliveries I actually received. But don’t you think it’s absurd to declare it as registered mail and use Posta 1? Is it possible that we can’t even rely on that, if necessary?

·3 years agoGood morning
The mail carrier certainly scanned all the codes with the appropriate reader before heading out to make the deliveries.
If you paid for registered mail and received posta1, you need to point this out to the seller.
Kind regards.

OP3 years agoYes, but he didn’t come, and after 2 p.m. it’s impossible, so I can only hope he was swamped or that bad weather reduced deliveries. I didn’t pay anything because shipping was free, just the €6.50 for the item, but I still find it unfair, though given that it was free I should have expected it.

·3 years agoA free tracked shipping would have been impossible, it would have cost as much as the item.

OP3 years agoIt remains to lie, but I'll be more clever in the future.

·3 years agoIf we want to be precise and picky, you're right because with registered mail I sleep soundly and I can afford to be away from home, whereas with posta1 I'm on edge and risk that someone else will take the item I bought.
I don't know what might happen in the event of a possible dispute opening for a shipping service different from what was described in the auction.
Generally, sellers offer two or more shipping options posta4, posta1, registered mail or courier and the buyer chooses what they prefer.
In your case probably nothing was specified beyond free shipping with registered shipping, maybe next time if a similar case happens to you it would be better to ask before buying.

·3 years agoI recommend waiting at least a couple of days before drawing conclusions about posta1 delivery.
Keep in mind that posta1 up to 100 grams costs 2.80 euros, while registered mail up to 100 grams costs 7.75 euros.
If we’re talking about free shipping with a very low item cost, I’d say it can be overlooked in the event that delivery goes through successfully.
In any case, it’s something you can point out to the seller, who should take care of fixing it because, regardless of the price, posta1 is a shipment that is left unattended, whereas registered mail, if there’s no one there, goes into storage, so these are two very different types of shipping.
Kind regards.

OP3 years agoEven if the delivery has already been reported? Anyway, thanks, you're always available 🙂
heavenwelkin
·3 years agoNo, I was referring to the fact that maybe the seller had overlooked this "detail" about the shipment and by pointing it out to them they might have fixed things for future shipments.
