eBay shipping Packlink issue
Good morning, I need to send a package to Germany via ebayspedizioni packlink. When printing the label, if I select Home Pickup it gives me several options (BRT,Poste,UPS,DHL), while if I choose Drop-off Point, which I’m interested in, the only option is UPS.
Can someone explain the reason to me?
Thanks. Best regards

·2 years agosimply because, as indicated by the other users, some couriers do not accept, each for their own reasons, foreign parcels that go through fermopoint......;
curious, to say the least, the fact that Packlink support has not come up with the solution (after all, with these couriers, they work together every day.....)

Regarding Poste Italiane for international shipments, there is the international crono service, which cannot be taken directly to the post office but must be picked up by SDA.
UPS works well both with direct pickup and by taking the parcel to a pickup point.
DHL has to inspect the parcels and wants you to hand over the parcel open, which is why they do not pick up already sealed parcels from a pickup point.
Regarding BRT, I believe it is part of their policies not to pick up parcels at fermopoint locations for international shipments, but on this point you should contact BRT directly.
Kind regards.

·2 years agoWhile you wait for someone more knowledgeable about the ebay-shipping service to reply to you (I've never used it), I assume that for your shipment (maybe it also depends on weight and volume) with the Pickup Point option the only one offering the service is UPS.
I can't tell you anything else, you could ask Packlink directly.
Bye

OP2 years agoThanks for the reply. This had already happened to me in the past, I had contacted packlink through several emails with screenshots attached, etc., but they had not come to a solution.

·2 years agoAfter actar's reply, here's my solution for shipping to grossdeutschland: cut to size
in good cardboard, make a package that holds the cute little figurines. A good padding with paper
or bubble wrap makes the contents compact. As soon as the package is ready, go to the post office near your house
and send it by international registered mail or whatever you think is suitable for the European destination.
Forget Packlink, the communications, the screenshots, and the home pickups with the alternatives. Then from your home
comfortably seated in front of the PC, follow the tracking on Poste Italia's shipping search site. When
too many variables come into play, the risks increase. And the more you leave someone else to do something for you, the worse it is than walking at night. Also considering that nobody ever knows what's happening a meter away. Have a nice Sunday. ( the Flintstones are cute, though! )

·2 years agoYou’re welcome, this shows that it’s better to stay away.
I fully agree with Vonbalden when he says that when too many variables come into play the risks increase, and when he advises you to handle shipments yourself by going to the post office and handing over the package or envelope to be sent, which I have always done myself when I was selling.
If you’re shipping items of limited weight, I can recommend the domestic and/or international poste delivery web service (if you’re registered on the Poste Italiane website), which costs less.
You can purchase the shipment online, print the label yourself or bring the QR code to the PT office and they’ll print it. You just need to be careful to respect weights and dimensions. You can find the details on the Poste IT site.

OP2 years agoThanks everyone. Actar80, until some time ago I used Poste delivery web as you recommended, but then I switched to packlink because the prices are definitely lower.

·2 years agoI understand, but ... as you can read in various posts about packlink in the community ... lower prices come with bigger problems!! 😂
