Return to sender with incorrect address
Good evening
I’m a private seller, and after the item was rejected by the buyer it’s about to be sent back, but the shipping address is incorrect, since I recently changed residence
The shipment was sent with Poste, but the address can’t be changed by them (according to Poste), only by Ebay.
I can’t find this option in the dashboard and I’d like to avoid the item being picked up by the “wrong hands” at the old address.
How can I intervene?

·2 years agoFrom the oldest item you sold (the item from July 16), Catania appears, and the new items you have for sale also show Catania as the pickup/shipping location.
If you moved and still stayed in Catania, I think you shouldn't have any problems getting the package, keeping an eye on the tracking and maybe contacting whoever lives at your old address.
Then, if there are other reasons we don't know about, keep in mind that you are responsible for your address, which must always be up to date and written correctly.
Best regards.

·2 years agoIf " the item was rejected by the buyer " means that eBay still couldn't do anything about it anyway since the return to sender is done automatically to the sender listed on the package (and that's what you wrote...).
Only if you purchased the shipping through a broker would the "real" sender be him, but since in this case the shipments are made with triangulation, the package will always and in any case arrive at the sender listed on the label.
If you knew you were going to move while the package was being shipped, you should have put your new address as the sender and arranged for pickup at the old one (obviously only if you requested home pickup... )

·2 years agoIt’s too late now, the address should have been changed on the eBay account before accepting the return.
So now I’d say contact whoever lives at the old address and arrange to go pick up the package.
