Profile restriction for outdated bank details
Summary: The discussion concerns a profile restriction issue due to outdated bank details. lunaonhere4 interacts with marioelegio and heavenwelkin to resolve the matter. The participants exchange messages to clarify and correct the necessary information, with a series of replies to make sure everything is updated correctly.
I should update my bank details by next Monday (13 January).
Yesterday I went to the bank to get a bank statement and I sent eBay a photo showing my IBAN+name, surname and address+the bank's name and logo. eBay replies that the document itself is correct but... It's not from 3 months ago, but from 3 months and 9 days ago!
And what am I supposed to do if that's what the bank gave me? In theory, to avoid new restrictions, I should sort everything out by next Monday. It's not like I can show up at the branch on the weekend!
I'm fine if, to "cash out", I have to wait, but I hope that my funds will at least stay safe in the meantime!
Similar experiences?
Thanks!

·1 year agoGood evening lunaonhere4
Unfortunately the agent you interacted with has to adhere SCRUPULOUSLY to the regulations / guidelines provided by ebay.
You need to find a way to provide a bank statement that does not exceed 3 months.
You need to contact the bank again and have them give you a more up-to-date bank statement.
If you can't, it would be better to change banks and/or open a bank account compatible with ebay to use only for ebay.
For example, the various debit card accounts that are usually free of charge if the average annual balance does not exceed 5000 euros.
Kind regards

OP1 year agoFor me, it’s not a big deal if I “cash out” in a month 🙂 (It’s only 10 euros of earnings + 14 euros I advanced for shipping)
I’d just like to understand whether my funds will still stay safe on eBay, even if I can’t use them for now... As far as you know, how does it work?
Anyway, in the meantime, I’ll try to contact my bank to ask if and when I’ll be able to get a more up-to-date statement. (I don’t have online banking, so I can’t do it from home!)
If I may ask, which no-cost cards could I consider? (I’ve heard that PostePay costs 15 euros a year)
Thanks again!

·1 year agoThe funds on eBay are safe, you can rest more than easy 😉
As for the account cards, I have a zero-fee account card that I’ve had for 10 years, but I don’t want to write it here in public so as not to advertise it.
If you give me the ok, I’ll send it to you in private messages.
Kind regards.

·1 year agoDo you think your money is safer in a bank that gives you an account statement dated more than 3 months ago?

OP1 year agoThe bank was "late" by just 9 days. Maybe it couldn’t do any more than that 🙂 I think/hope it had no interest in refusing me a bank statement dated October 9 and not September 30!
Anyway, if you’ve had similar experiences and can/want to reply, thank you!
