Does Revolut Standard work for receiving payments from eBay?
Summary: The thread is about the possibility of using Revolut Standard to receive payments from eBay. However, no specific details were provided in the comments, leaving the original question without a definite answer.
Hi,
I’d like to open a Revolut Standard account (the free one). I read that Revolut should now have an Italian IBAN (if that’s not the case, then please correct me).
The question is: does it work for receiving payments for my sales on eBay? I’ve read conflicting opinions about this. Does anyone have recent experience?
Thanks

OP4 months agoI’ll answer my own question. I opened a standard Revolut (the free one) with an Italian IBAN and it works for receiving Ebay payments.

Is the IBAN you have Italian or Lithuanian?

·6 months agoEbay accepted Revolut with a Lithuanian IBAN after I provided a bank statement. I have already received some payments on the card. Regards,

I went to check online and there would be the principle of IBAN non-discrimination (EU Regulation No. 260/2012)
Technically, eBay must accept the Lithuanian IBAN even if I don't think this can happen automatically from the system.
Kind regards.

·7 months agoI'm interested in this too and I'd be glad to know whether the REVOULT Sandard can actually be used to receive sales amounts and pay the related fees. Of course, since eBay removed the option to use PayPal, everything has become a bit complicated.

·7 months agoI get the following error when I try to add Revolut (Italian IBAN) to receive payments. Has anyone managed to do it? Is there another no-fee card accepted by eBay?

·7 months agoFormally, Revolut with an Italian IBAN meets all the requirements to be used on eBay as well.
The reason why you get an error may depend on two factors:
1) eBay Italy does not accept Revolut Standard with an Italian IBAN for reasons unknown to us.
2) You made procedural errors during the entry process.
Try logging into eBay on the desktop version because the app may have some BUG.
From the picture you posted I can see the rounded edges, so you are definitely on a mobile phone; try making the entry from a desktop version with Chrome browser or use the phone with the browser in desktop mode.
Other errors that come to mind are:
- The cardholder name does not match the one registered on eBay.
- Error entering the two micro deposits.
If you can't solve it, contact eBay support here:
https://www.ebay.it/help/contact_us?id=4190
contact us (on the left) and then "ask us to call you".
Anyway, if you can, let us know if you manage to figure out where the problem is with Revolut, so we can also understand whether it is actually NOT ACCEPTED BY EBAY.
Kind regards.

·7 months agoGood morning
Revolut currently provides an Italian IBAN and no longer a Lithuanian one, as was the case before.
So if the current account is in the same name as the eBay account, you shouldn't have any problems with the account verification.
The verification consists of crediting you two micro-transfers (from 1 to 10 cents), which Revolut accepts without any problems.
The other issue concerns direct debits SDD
Revolut fully supports direct debits (SEPA Direct Debit), which is exactly what eBay requires to manage selling costs and refunds.
Kind regards.
