Delay in shipments/deliveries
I keep reading various posts about parcels being late in delivery, if not gone missing. Must be a critical week. Mine too, sent from the province of Cagliari with InPost (delivered to the tobacco shop) on September 7 and to be delivered in the province of Milan, has been showing as stuck since Friday the 11th. I contacted both InPost (which says to wait 5 days before asking for a refund) and the buyer, who is willing to wait a bit longer.
In the meantime, there’s no telling where the package I sent is

·2 weeks ago · EditedShipment to Malta and the package is still stuck in Spain for international sorting since Sept 16 (sent using the method requested by the buyer with Poste Italiane). Shipping is also expensive for a very light package (<200g) . I find it absurd that for every carrier shipping insurance is offered, never paid for and I would never pay for it, the only guarantee is being taken for a ride! If I'm paying for a service and it can't be carried out or the goods are damaged, I shouldn't have to "insure" myself against these eventualities, because in the case of loss or damage, to get a refund you have to fill out forms and wait endlessly, and most of the time they don't even refund you, hiding behind some loophole.

·3 weeks agoI shipped it on August 25 and the package never arrived. I contacted the office that was supposed to receive it and also the Italian Post depot where it has reportedly been stuck since August 31.
No one can tell me anything. I filed a complaint and am waiting for a response (they have 90 days!)
The thing that surprises me most is that the recipient opened a dispute for a refund and E-Bay ruled in my favor.
What do you think?

OP3 weeks agoMy buyer is in no rush and prefers to wait before opening a dispute; he wrote to me that he understands it’s not my fault. We’ll wait until the end of the first week of October, then if he wants a refund he has to open the dispute himself.
Now in sales it no longer offers me InPost and I shipped on Monday with Bartolini. From the province of Cagliari to Genoa, they delivered today, 3 days, very good. I’m not expecting the timing I had with Posta1, that is, the next day, if I shipped from Monday to Thursday.

·3 weeks agoLook, something similar is happening to me too, with the same shipping date as yours (September 7). Label purchased with PackLink with Poste. Package stuck in Rome since September 14. I went to the post office to find out more, but I didn’t get very far. The clerk kindly contacted Poste Italiane’s internal support. The package still shows as tracked as of yesterday (somewhere in Rome, I suppose), but since September 14 there hasn’t been any progress on the tracking. I’m still within the time limit to file a complaint (within 30 days of shipping - October 6), but I really hope it’s just a mix-up/delay. Very frustrating.

OP3 weeks agoI have already contacted the buyer, who is willing to wait. On Monday we'll see what to do; I could send them the same item, but technically I’ve never dealt with a problem like this and I don't know what to do.

·3 weeks agoIt’s never happened to me either, nor to the buyer who’s been buying and selling on eBay for years.

OP3 weeks agoI'm reading a discussion on another e-commerce's Facebook page (which I'm not naming out of respect for Ebay) and everyone is complaining about the same problem of packages having "vanished" in the same period as ours. One person even had 9 packages disappear; someone already got a lost-item notification and a refund. It doesn't look good
