Payment Unlock - Checking Account Method Not Accepted
Good evening everyone,
I made a sale through my eBay account. Despite the transaction being completed successfully, the payment owed to me appears to be blocked for the following reason given by customer support: "not having a verified payment method".
I would like to point out that, in accordance with the instructions on the site, I set up a bank account as a payment method to cover my selling costs. However, contrary to what is stated in the guidelines, customer support insists that a credit card must be used as the payment method, stating that a bank account is not enough. This inconsistency between the written instructions and customer support's statements is causing an unjustified block of the funds due to me.
Is anyone aware of a dispute resolution method that does NOT involve my having to register a Credit Card (which I do not have) that I have absolutely no intention of doing?
I would like to reach a solution that does not force me to have my lawyer send a formal warning letter to EBay.
Thanks to anyone who can respond.

·2 years agoThe written instructions certainly refer to a successfully completed transaction where, as a new and/or infrequent seller, you have to wait a certain number of days to receive the credit.
If you can specify whether the sale was completed successfully or whether you received some kind of dispute.
If you received a dispute and your funds are blocked to refund the buyer, you must do it through another payment method; for this reason you are being asked for the credit card.
Kind regards.

·2 years agoUntil some time ago, registering and validating a bank account through the micro-deposits was enough.
Then I don't know if they changed something in the meantime.
If you have a bank account, you should also have a card associated with it.
The card used to withdraw money from the ATM, to be clear.....
Unless you have a bank account with a virtual credit/debit card.
But in that case you can enter and/or create a virtual card and add that one on eBay.
Then if you have no intention of adding it for your own reasons, that's another matter.
Best regards.

·2 years agoIf as a new seller (or an infrequent one) you have any ongoing disputes, the transfer of suspended amounts to your current account is blocked and, since the fee refund has not yet been credited, the suspended funds are never enough to cover refunds. You therefore need to enter the details of a credit card.
