If the courier doesn't find me at home
Good evening everyone.
I’m tempted to buy a product, but the item should arrive between December 21 and 26, from abroad. If I were not at home when it arrives, what would happen to my purchase? Do you think I would have the chance to pick it up a week later at the post office?

First of all, you need to check the parcel tracking and/or ask the seller to provide it to you.
The delivery estimates that eBay gives you are indicative; it's better to keep an eye on the official tracking on the courier's website.
Then it depends on which courier is handling the delivery.
In general, a courier that doesn't find anyone makes a second attempt, after which the parcel is held for a few days and it's possible to collect it in person.
The same goes if it's a postal shipment.
I do, however, recommend monitoring the situation with the tracking so you can understand the day the parcel is out for delivery and make sure someone is at home to receive it, so as to avoid inconvenience and complications.
Kind regards.

·2 years agoIn THEORY the courier should ring the doorbell corresponding to the street number or, if it’s an apartment building, ring the bell next to the surname written on the package or, if necessary, follow the instructions in the NOTES and maybe ring a different bell.
Then, in practice, considering that a courier can also have 160~180 deliveries a day to make, where 2 delivery attempts are предусмотрed.
Which means that the missed deliveries get added to the packages for the next day.....
YOU CAN IMAGINE....
It’s always a good idea to leave a phone number and answer the courier’s call, have the street number visible, have the surname visible on the intercom, and make sure someone is home at the time of pickup to avoid unpleasant inconveniences such as:
Throwing packages directly onto the balcony
Delivery to concierge desks or neighbors
Packages marked as delivered but no one knows where they ended up
And the list goes on and on
Best regards.
