Hello, between Christmas and New Year I bought an item from someone with lots of feedback. on the 30th they marked it as shipped with Bartollini but without putting in the shipping code.... and as of January 5th there’s still no sign of the package. Over the days I’ve written to the seller several times for the tracking code and got 0 replies...
The item is hard to find at the price I bought it for, so I wouldn’t want to give up on the purchase.
How long can I wait after the package’s expected delivery time before opening a refund request?
eBay support told me that if it doesn’t arrive by the 8th I can ask for a refund, I don’t want to rush things but I also understand well that if the package hasn’t arrived yet with Bartolli it never will....
The seller usually sells watches for 500+ euros so I don’t think they’re a newbie or a scammer

·1 year agoThe seller COULD have marked the item as shipped to meet ebay's shipping deadlines but in reality hasn't shipped it yet because maybe he was on vacation and didn't physically have the item with him.
On the other hand we're in the holiday period and many businesses are closed, this could be the case...

·1 year ago"When" it's supposed to arrive (or rather "by..."), you can see it too on the order page without involving eBay support.
But since you've already done that, I assume that the [by] is January 8.
And, considering that both the 7th and the 8th are working days, it's not out of the question that, exactly, it will arrive on January 8.
If at 0:01 on January 9 the package hasn't arrived, as they told you, you can open a dispute for item not received.
We'll wait for updates Thursday at 0:02....
