Bought item no longer available
Hello, I bought a used server from a professional eBay seller.
I made the payment via PayPal in 3 installments.
After contacting the seller, he told me that the item was no longer available.
How can you sell an item if it’s no longer available?
Shouldn’t it be automatically removed from the availability list?
The order number is: 12-10986-38097
I contacted PayPal to ask about it, they gave me information, but referred me to eBay, which unfortunately doesn’t have phone support.
Now I’ve written to the seller to cancel the order.

·2 years agoWith the contract you signed with PayPal for the installment payments, do you have to keep paying the installments, or have they meanwhile added some clause that allows you to withdraw from the contract and close it in case of situations where the order is canceled by a seller?

·2 years agoExactly like what happens at the shopping center when an item on display is no longer in stock because it’s sold out... the removal of that same item from the display window isn’t immediate!
It happens, there’s no reason to be surprised.
In any case, if it’s not available, the seller should already have canceled the sale and issued the corresponding refund.
Kind regards.

OP2 years agoYes, but at the mall if it's not available, you don't pay.

·2 years agoAnd online if it’s not available you get refunded because you can’t do anything else... you don’t lose anything, except a bit of time...
